Dr. Michel Abiteboul is the CEO of BARC Global Central Laboratory, clinical research and development company that provides pharma and biotech provider companies with central lab services in the field of clinical pathology, histocytopathology and molecular genetics. The firm operates out of the United States, Europe, South Africa, Southeast Asia, China, Japan and Australia. With over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Michel is an expert in strategic operations, executive leadership and negotiation. He is well versed in the complexities of the lab process from early to late stage development on a global and international scale.
 
After earning a medical degree in Rhumatology and Immunology from the Université Paris Descartes, Michel went on to work in Medical Development for Rhone-Poulenc Rorer. After rising to become Senior Director there, Michel served as the Managing Director of Quintiles France, eventually becoming Vice President of Customer Solutions. Prior to joining BARC, Michel spent 3 years accepting new challenges in the healthcare sector, making a difference in partnering strategies, portfolios management, risk sharing and organization.
 
Michel resides in Paris, France and speaks fluent English and French. He served for 4 years as the President of the French Association of CROs, the AFCRO. Outside of his extensive work endeavors, Michel enjoys sailing.
