Sandra Arango has been the Marketing Director, Global Downy/Lenor for Procter & Gamble since 2011, and with the company since 1997. She is responsible for growing the business globally by providing innovative ideas and plans that delight their consumers. This implies strong consumer knowledge from around the globe and the ability to identify insights that can become ideas.  Recently Ms. Arango has been expanding Downy Unstopables globally to reward scent seeker consumers with amazing longer lasting scent offerings.  A Marketing Executive, Sandra has P&L experience focused on business growth, with broad experience in branding, multichannel exploitation and effective marketing ideas that resonate globally.  Ms. Arango transcends cultural barriers to work effectively with multifunctional teams around the globe.  Sandra travels the world to ensure she is in touch with consumers, understanding their needs and identifying the next idea that will drive the business.

In 2003 Sandra worked in Latin America developing the laundry portfolio in the region and specifically the Ace (mid tier brand) business.  In Ace Ms. Arango expanded the brand introducing liquids, bars and a sensorial lower price Natural line very appealing to value conscious consumers. As a result, Ace Mexico received the Effie Awards for Effective Advertising in 2007-2008.

Sandra attended Universidad Externado de Colombia and earned her Bachelor Degree in Finance and International Relations with Honors in 1995, and then earned a Masters degree in Business Administration with a Marketing and Strategy Emphasis from the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge in 1998. Sandra also attended various independent courses to further her studies both in London and the United States.

Sandra Arango credits her success to her ability to learn and lead across borders, energizing attitude, and being flexible on a professional and interpersonal level. Sandra is looking forward to taking her career to the next level and networking with like minded professionals. She re-energizes herself by reading, traveling, scuba diving, horse- back riding, and hiking.
