As the Project Owner at CVSHealth contracted through Insight Global, Scott Weishaar owns and serves as a technical lead on IT projects as needed. Insight Global is a premier technology staffing services firm, ranked as one of the fastest growing staffing firms for the past 9 consecutive years and named the 4th largest IT staffing firms in America. Scott owns multiple projects at any given point in time as he oversees them through each phase of CVS. He manages application based technology design & implementation strategy as well as providing upgrade and support services, workforce management, email management, ICM, IVR, predictive call routing, screen capture, performance management, call center infrastructure and management software. Scott is a born a problem-solver and analyst, allowing him to successfully resolve issues and design solutions whether they are technical, process-based, or having to do with business.
After earning his Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University and his Master of Computer Science from DePaul University, Scott began his career in technologist engineering software in an era where software development included all aspects of the SDLC, working through the era of specialization of roles by function within the SDLC and now with Agile spreading again working in full life-cycle development.
Early on, Scott worked to re-engineer a small division in a large corporation from multiple platforms, languages and hundreds of programs to a single platform and suite of programs supporting an efficient process, allowing it to be an independent subsidiary sold as a standalone business. This experience led to many successful years in technology consulting. From there, his projects expanded to include professional services, performing assessments and providing consultation. Scott worked with data warehouse and business intelligence solutions to assess and enhance the meta data, data quality and the quality of derived data. This incorporated great deal of custom software and integration.
While working in more senior roles, Scott enjoyed both leadership (Software Development Manager, Project Owner/Manager) roles and keeping his hand in the game of technology developing coding solutions as well as conducting analysis and design, applying his OO experience and heavy data access background. After decades in IT, Scott seeks to work in a capacity where a difference can be made and he can incorporate his knowledge of how the many layers in the n-tier stack have evolved to be where they are today, helping to continue a history of delivering successful results.
When Scott isn’t following his entrepreneurial pursuits he likes to keep fit and spend time on home improvements where he lives with his family in Illinois, USA.
