Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Waldo Moran
Waldo Moran is the Human Resources National Director of the Ministry of Education of Panama. He ensures that that teachers get paid, conducts system reviews and oversees 3000 schools, including technical & elementary schools. In addition, he develops, submits and manages budgets for the system.
After becoming Valedictorian of his high school, Waldo received a scholarship to attend Panama Technological University. He later received a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the Catholic University of St. Mar and a MsED in Education/Psychology from the University of Louisville, Kentucky.
As Human Resources National Director of Ministry of Education of Panama, Waldo Moran is currently faced with a crisis in the schools and is ensuring teachers receive fair system-side. Waldo worked in the development of procedures and manuals of HR departments on 2 of the companies he has worked for, and presently holds a constructive relationship with 17 formal and 5 informal unions. He leads a team of 160 serving an organization of almost 60,000, involving the unique complexities of a government institution. Waldo has vast experience in training not only as a facilitator but also developing and managing training programs. His biggest achievement in this area is the Avanzamos program for development of trades for a mining project in alliance with universities and government institutions. Waldo is a spokesperson for his present and past positions, giving interviews to the media. He is a member of the Panama Association of Human Resources and the Association of Business Executives, and hopes to receive a regional director position in the near future.
Currently a resident of Panama City, Waldo stays active in his community by volunteering for two local church groups and enjoys reading and going to the gym in his spare time.
