Dr. Ehud Geller, PhD is the founding Managing Partner of Medica Venture Partners. Dr. Geller co-founded Medica in 1995, bringing with him over 30 years of senior executive operational experience in healthcare companies, both in the United States and Israel. Medica pioneered healthcare investing in Israel beginning in 1995 and has provided investment capital to support companies developing breakthrough products including first and second generation percutaneous heart valves, (PVT & Ventor; acquired by Edwards LifeSciences and Medtronic) and desktop computed radiography (Orex – acquired by Kodak). In conjunction with this, he serves as Chairman of Gardia Medical Ltd; Director at Allium-Medical Solutions Ltd; Regentis Biomaterials Ltd., PainReform Ltd.
An accomplished intellectual, Ehud earned a PhD in Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering from Drexel Institute, Philadelphia, finished his Columbia MBA at Drexel Inst. As well and a BSc in Chemical Engineering, from Columbia University. Dr. Geller began his industry career at Wyeth Laboratories Inc. in the United States where he spent seven years with responsibilities ranging from pharmaceutical research through pilot plant operations and corporate new product introduction management. He founded Collgard Biopharmaceuticals Ltd. in 1996.

Throughout his career, Dr. Geller has been actively involved in numerous public initiatives to enhance entrepreneurship, management and innovation in healthcare and other technology industries in Israel. He has held multiple executive level positions including CEO of Ikapharm and President and Chief Executive Officer at Interpharm Laboratories, Ltd., where he was instrumental in bringing this publicly traded company to a market capitalization of over $380 million in 1991; presiding over the growth of this company from the seed stage to $18 million in revenues. He also served as Executive Vice President of the Tevapharmaceutical Industries Group and President of its Pharmaceutical Division. At Teva, he led the acquisition of Ikapharm Ltd. and formulated the company’s successful strategy for entry into the United States market: Teva’s market cap today exceeds $50 billion. Dr. Geller served as a Director of XTL Biopharmaceuticals Ltd. and OREX Computed Radiography Ltd. Dr. Geller served as Director of GlobeImmune Inc. since September 14, 2005. He also served as the Head of the Israeli Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association and as a Board Member of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. Recognized by his peers, Dr. Geller has been honored with the National Industry Award in 1989 for Strategic & Operational Contribution to Biotech Industry & Modern Pharmaceutical Industry Discipline.

Currently residing in New York, USA and Herzliya Israel, Ehud enjoys high end audio, collecting vinyl classical and jazz records and creating fine art photography in his spare time.
