Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Rex M. Barker

Full of tenacity and resourcefulness, Rex Barker has worked his way up to Senior Vice President of Operations from his early beginnings as an Assistant in the last 21 years working for Jose Milton & Associates. Jose Milton & Associates is more than just a real estate development company, it is a family business. It has contributed to the transformation of the South Florida skyline by deploying a broad definition of high-quality residential design and construction, at many economic levels. Rex supervises all banking transactions and financial activity for the company. In addition to his highly developed financial management skills. Last year alone he was directly responsible for refinancing over $230 million in company assets. Rex currently is responsible for the financing for all the multifamily rental communities and condo projects for this second generation family owned business. Rex oversees the main office in Coral Gables and a staff of 25 professionals which includes IT, Accounting, Payroll and HR employees. He has created an enviable team of financial managers and numerous high-caliber banking relationships.

Rex has a degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University, from which he also received the school Consecration in Management. Until recently, he served with Joseph Milton, on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Alfalit International, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving education worldwide, responsible for teaching over 7 million people to write and read.

When he’s not busy in his professional life, Rex enjoys all that Coral Gables has to offer, boating, scuba diving and eating out in fine dining restaurants.
