Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Dr. Michael Walcott
Dr. Michael Walcott is a specialist in alternative and complimentary health care. Integrated Natural Health blends the principles and practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Biological/Functional medicine. From owning a successful health food business to achieving his doctorate in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine, alternative medicine has always been a way of life for Michael Walcott.
He graduated with a doctorate from the Ontario School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine (now closed) in 1992. Dr Walcott has also completed diplomas in Iridology at the Canadian Institute of Iridology, Reflexology with the Reflexology Association of Reflexologists, and has attended workshops in Detoxification, Bach Flower Therapy, Allergy Elimination, and Bioresonance therapy. His journey started 35 years ago opening his own health food store and cafe. Through Dr Walcott’s interactions with his customers, he grew a keen awareness of what other people needed from his business—revelations which eventually inspired him to become a health care practitioner. After completing his studies in Toronto he opened a clinic with a colleague which is still operating today. On a trip to Barbados, Dr Walcott observed the lack of alternative health care on the island, so he decided it was time to pack up and return.
Upon returning to Barbados, Dr Walcott opened an Apothecary and clinic in 1993. He was one of the founding members of the first Complimentary and Alternative Association in Barbados. Dr Walcott has always been at the forefront of Alternative and Complimentary health care in Barbados. He changed the name of the clinic in 1999 to Integrated Natural Health.
When he’s not busy with his professional life, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife Karen, going to the beach, and following sports. He lives in St. Michael Barbados. He attributes his success to three core values: integrity, honesty, and commitment.
