Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Ronald Kinsey
Ronald Kinsey is a native Scot and accomplished professional with over 30 years of experience. He is the Consultant Clinical Psychologist with the Whanganui District health Board in New Zealand (WDHB). The Whanganui District Health Board (WDHB) is a Crown entity and one of 20 district health boards established nationally on 1 January 2001 under the NZ Public Health and Disability Act 2000 (NZPHD). The WDHB’s vision and purpose is: ‘Better health and independence’ through integrity – fairness – looking forward – innovation.
Beginning his career as a clinical psychologist at a time when the profession was not as respected as it is currently, Ronald was a catalyst in bringing the profession to the mainstream in New Zealand. Having worked in a variety of settings from large institutional mental hospitals to community settings, Ronald is well-adept at providing the exceptional work that is needed. Ronald has been credited with developing alcohol and drug addiction programs, outreach mental health services in rural settings, community mental health management, project development and training programs. With a wealth of experience and an exceptional background, Ronald has extensive experience working within group settings as well as working with individuals. Specializing in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) work, Ronald has dedicated his career in helping his patients work through countless issues. Being adept at team building, developing services and programs and trauma work, Ronald has been providing quality assistance for decades. He has also lectured at the University of Massey and is considered to be integral in developing the clinical professional examinations as well as accrediting countless professionals within the industry. An expert in his field, Ronald has also been a speaker at countless conferences both domestic and international throughout his illustrious career. Not be undone, Ronald is currently working on a different methodology in working with patients who hear voices as well. A remarkable professional, Ronald is poised to continue assisting the mental health community for years to come.
A well rounded individual, Ronald divides his time between his professional life and his favorite pastimes, namely, fishing and darts.
