Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Jamil Hassoubah
Jamil Hassoubah is the Managing Director and Head of Business Development at SEDCO Capital, a global firm that offers a full range of sophisticated services in asset management, including asset allocation, real estate, private equity, public equity, liquidity instruments, agriculture, timber, and commodities. An exemplary leader of sales and a team director with expertise in defining market shares, sovereign funding, pension funds, developing and implementing global strategies, customer base increases and profit margin development, Jamil is a pioneer. He developed strategies to grow customer base in previously inaccessible regions of the Middle East. His extraordinary focus on strategy and tactics, including his creation of customer categories, has enabled him to create a strong impact in the region.
Jamil earned a Bachelor’s in Meteorology from King Abdul Aziz University in 1991. Before joining SEDCO, he spent 20 years at SABB, and rose through the ranks from Branch Manager to become the Regional Manager of Private Banking. With over 25 years of commendable experience in the international investment banking Industry, Jamil has been the recipient of numerous awards for his performance. At the age of 26, he received the Best Performing Branch Manager Award for Sales and Performance. Additionally, he has won Best Performing Private Banker in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, and Best Performing Regional Head of Private Banking in 2007 and 2008.
Jamil is a family man, and is proud of his three daughters and son, who are currently attending university. His message and principle to his children and colleagues is, “in being good to all human beings God will always be next to him.” Jamil’s integrity inspires his impeccable work ethics and respect from those in business and in his community. Jamil also shares his passion in gardening with his community and helps keep the environment green. He has volunteered in community efforts in donations and civil works during the Gulf War and the flooding in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Jamil is an advocate and participates in World Ethical Propositions and Investments, where he would love to learn more and pass on the gained knowledge to future generations the best use of savings and spending. Jamil takes his role and duties in the fiduciary society responsibilities and impact in service seriously, while maintaining a motivational, inspiring and quick-witted sense of humor. In addition to his gardening pursuits, Jamil enjoys soccer, swimming and weightlifting in his spare time.
