Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Andre Alves Macedo

 
Dr. Andre Alves Macedo is currently a technology manager at Akaer, an aerospace engineering company in Brazil. A specialist in project and quality management, Andre has worked with various industries and applied to process improvement and innovation. He also managed Six Sigma Black Belts programs in several companies and institutions, such as hospitals and government agencies.
 
Prior to his current position, Andre spent 2 years as the Manager of Strategic Planning for the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), one of the most prestigious engineering schools in Brazil. He and his team supported ITA faculty and staff on several strategic projects within the school’s massive program for redevelopment and expansion, from the physical expansion itself to improvements in ITA’s education program.  Previously, for twelve years he worked as a Senior Management Consultant with Falconi, a prestigious global consulting firm with headquarters in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
 
Andre earned a PE in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at UNICAMP – Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Andre remains connected to his alma maters as a member of both the University of Michigan and UNICAMP’s alumni associations. He also volunteers through different Christian religious institutions.
 
A current resident of Campinas, Brazil, Andre used to play rugby in his spare time and is an avid supporter of the game, still in its infancy in Brazil.
