Hernan Gonzalez is the Principal and Founder of Gonzalez Projects, a consulting firm through which he is the Chief Representative of Louisiana Economic Development in Mexico (www.louisianaforward.com). Hernan also provides marketing and representation services to Falcon Management Partners (www.falconmp.com) and the Gada Group (www.gada.com.mx), among others.

Hernan also serves as the Director of International Relations for Cydsa Group (www.cydsa.com), which is headquartered in Monterrey and has plants located in 8 cities, and serving customers in more than 20 countries. Cydsa offers more than 200 different products worldwide, most notably in chemicals and yarns. Hernan has adapted well to his new position as the International Relations Director, developing relationships within the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, and Canada.

After earning his BSc degree in Industrial Engineering from the Monterrey Technological Institute in Mexico, Hernan went on to complete his MBA in Marketing from Harvard Business School. Hernan started his career at Cydsa Corporation as an Industrial Marketing Director and soon realized his true passion, when given the opportunity, was to work on international business development projects with American, Canadian, British and Japanese companies.

Hernan is an active member in various chamber of commerce organizations throughout the world and understands that networking is a key ingredient in success. He serves as Advisor to the U.S. Consulate General in Monterrey and as a Board Member of the Monterrey chapters of the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico (www.amcham.org.mx), and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of Mexico (www.canchammx.com)

Although his mailing address is in Laredo, Texas, Hernan resides in Monterrey, Mexico, his home town, where he enjoys spending time with his family. He has also lived in seven cities in the U.S., and two in Europe for a combined period of 11 and 4 years, respectively. He is fluent in English, Spanish and French, and is also knowledgeable in basic German and Italian. Hernan has authored several books on his international marketing experiences, and currently is developing projects of his own which relate to his passion for International Relations.
