Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Dr. Attila Bodnar, MD. MsC.

Dr. Attila Bodnar has been practicing medicine for over 15 years. Prior to being the General Director of the Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Hospital, he served as a doctor and general director of two other hospitals. Even at a young age, Dr. Bodnar had a fascination with the medical field. With an inherent desire to want to help people, he used this desire as motivation even as a child. Dr. Bodnar is incredibly persistent and believes this has been the key to his success. He challenges every day with perseverance and a goal-orientated mentality.  Dr. Bodnar has dedicated his time both inside and outside the hospital to find new ways to constantly improve. He speaks at numerous conferences on health management and internal management.
 
In an average day, Dr. Bodnar starts by reviewing the previous day’s activities deciphering urgency. After attending numerous meetings with external visitors, by the end of the day he reviews his posts and delegates tasks for the next day.  From management meetings to examining his patients Dr. Bodnar’s days are never the same, and he takes pride in the fact that he gets to do something he loves.
 
One of his proudest achievements is his pro-bono work with the citizens of Hungary during the democratic changes in 1989. His first exposure to community and public lives, Dr. Bodnar donated his services at Christmastime to help people who had no families, donating Christmas presents and care. Dr. Bodnar also has donated to the local church, the Red Cross, and numerous animal rights causes. As the medical system in Hungary currently embarks on pivotal changes, Dr. Bodnar works on the fore of change, realizing that working to develop the quality of medical care for the people comes first. Dr. Bodnar hopes to keep striving for the success of his patients and the people. Eventually, he hopes to secure a Hospital Director position while sustaining his ability to help patients. A highly skilled general director and doctor, he shows great expertise in leadership, managing the hospital, and general medical practices.
 
Dr. Bodnar holds an MD from Semmelweis University, as well as a Master’s in Health Management. He is a member of the European Diabetes Society and European Healthcare Management and Financial Consulting. When he isn’t at the hospital, he enjoys traveling with his family and visiting various countries, in particular the USA. He resides in Budapest, Hungary.
