Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Guillermo Gonzalez

 

Guillermo Gonzalez is the General Manager of Mars Andino, the Andean division of the leading food, beverage, and consumer goods giant. With over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management, Guillermo is responsible for operations across the countries of Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia. Based out of a dry pet food manufacturing facility in Barranquilla, Colombia, Guillermo directly oversees 120 associates. An expert in both traditional and modern trade channels, he balances the portfolio of countries, segments and brands, while prioritizing the various markets and initiatives inherent in the pet food and chocolate businesses.
 

After completing a Bachelor of Science from the Colegio Champagnat, Guillermo went on to study Mechanical Engineering at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He returned to higher education and completed a Master’s in Finance from IESA in 2004. Before assuming his current role at Mars Andino, Guillermo served as the Regional Business Development Director, Mars Caribbean & Central America for 4 years. He has also worked for international heavyweights including Kraft Foods, The Clorox Company, and Procter & Gamble, where he has consistently demonstrated his ability to navigate complex challenges, delivering great results in different contexts like turning around, new business development and /or boosting results in established businesses, among others.
 

 
 
Guillermo attributes his success to his pragmatic nature, entrepreneurship attitude, passion for talent development and an inspiring communication skills. He lives in Bogota, Colombia, and speaks fluent English and Spanish. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, boxing and running.
