Darryl Leslie Smith, Founder and Partner of Data Education Systems, is a true visionary in the world of technology. With over 30 years of experience, he knows computer systems inside and out. At Data Education Systems, his mission is to provide quality information technology and education consultancy services supporting corporate, financial, policy, resource management and government objectives.
 
Under this umbrella, he helps to provide support for teachers of geography and social sciences, as well as models for evaluation of secondary school students in the social sciences including geography. Data Education Systems also provides Data Modeling Services, providing an enterprise modeling of relational databases. They specialize in resolving resource management issues, undertaking resource management consultancy for local government.
 
Darryl has always held the belief that there are unique parallels between philosophy and computers. In 1988, he entered into a pro bono consulting partnership with his wife. They have been married almost 50 years!
 
Darryl holds a Master’s in Philosophy, as well a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Western Australia. He continues to hold the highest quality of professionalism and keeps bringing the latest technological assets to the table. When he isn’t at the helm of one of his roles for the company or the community, Darryl enjoys a competitive game of tennis. He lives in Hamilton, New Zealand.
