Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Feras Alsuhaibani, MS
Feras Alsuhaibani holds the prominent role of Business Intelligence Section Head of Saudi Food & Drug Authority. Just shortly after graduating from King Saud University in 2008, Feras was approached and hired by the Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA). The main purpose of the SFDA is to regulate, oversee, and control food, drug, medical devices, as well as to set mandatory standard specifications thereof, whether they are imported or locally manufactured. SFDA is mainly divided into three main sectors: Food, Drug and Medical Devices; at that time Feras was a member of a team of programmers who were mainly in charge of working on developing and delivering the Drug Sector’s applications. In addition, Feras was also managing projects implemented by third parties. After spending around three and a half years at the position, Feras was promoted to Senior Programmer.
Feras was among those who were accepted to complete their studies overseas, and in 2012, his academic journey began at the University of Delaware’s English Language Institute (ELI). Shortly after that, he began a Software Engineering Master’s program at the University of Scranton. In 2014, after graduating from the University of Scranton with an Outstanding Student Award, Feras returned to SFDA to find that new challenges were awaiting his arrival. Feras was assigned to SFDA’s Business Intelligence section, a newly established section, and his main responsibility is to establish an end to end BI solution across SFDA. Feras’ future goals are to continue self- development and professional development in the fields of Business Intelligence and computer sciences in general, and and to become a distinguished professional in the Business Intelligence field, where he can share his knowledge and experience to any organization that may benefit.
He holds a MS in Computer Software Engineering from the Univ. of Scranton, and a BA from King Saudi University. Some of his awards include an outstanding student award from the University of Scranton (2015), and he also received a scholarship from the Saudi Food & Drug Authority to complete his studies in the field of Software Engineering. He is a Member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (International Honor Society for the Computing Sciences. Feras is already responsible of establishing and building an enterprise data warehouse / business intelligence solution in his current role. In his spare time, he enjoys soccer and resides in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
