Alfredo Barriga is the Founder and Senior Consultant of Knowledge.cl, a consultancy focused on information technology, digital strategy, marketing and innovation. With operations in 6 countries, the firm tripled its turnover in just 2 years. With over 30 years of experience in information technology and change management, Alfredo is an expert in digitization, social marketing, cloud technology and security.

Excelling at his endeavors from an early age, Alfredo graduated magna cum laude from high school and earned his Bachelor of Art in Business Administration from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Continuing his studies, he earned an MBA from IESE Business school and a Master of Economics from the Universitat de Lleida. In 1998, he designed and implemented the first online supermarket in Chile and in 1999 Alfredo had the honor of representing Latin America in the e-Commerce track of the World Trade Organization summit.

A highly decorated businessman and pillar of his community, Alfredo was named the Executive Secretary for Digital Development by the government of President Sebastian Piñera in 2010. He has taught at a number of universities, and speaks regularly at conferences and seminars. He is a passionate advocate of the positive attributes to third world countries such as his home country Chile.

Alfredo believes the reason behind his success has been his tenacity and ability to accept his failure as a growing experience. Knowledge.cl is poised to become one of the biggest Latin American corporations to tackle the benefits of the digital era. A resident of Santiago, Chile, he speaks fluent English and Spanish. He hopes to connect with other industry related professionals, and enjoys swimming, hiking and polo in his spare time.
