Victor Grimblatt runs the R&D offices of Synopsys in Chile, supervising over 70 engineers developing software on synthesis and mask fracturing. In addition, he is responsible for developing business in Latin America. He has spoken at, and presented papers at numerous conferences and symposiums, including “Developing Applications for Digital TV Using the M-DTV Platform” at the 3rd IEEE International Caracas Conference on Devices, Circuits and Systems, Cancun, Mexico in March 2000, “Software in the Semiconductor Industry” at the 4th IEEE International Caracas Conference on Devices, Circuits and Systems (ICCDCS 2002), Cancun, Mexico in April 2002, and “The Norway Electronic Toll Experience and Control Traffic Applications with Transponders” at the International seminar on Electronic Toll Collection, Santiago, Chile in July 1995.

Mr. Grimblatt’s passion for engineering led him to an early involvement in software and hardware engineering in Europe. He attributes his success to patience, and consistent hard work. He is most proud of his current position with Synopsys, as he started with a dream of running an R&D Department for an International Company, and has realized this dream through proven performance in terms of company growth and performance.

Mr. Grimblatt looks forward to achieving personal growth within Synopsys as well. He hopes to become a Vice President of the company within the next few years. When not working he enjoys travel, reading, and classical music.
