Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Pamela Simpson, PhD

Pamela Simpson

Dr. Pamela Simpson is Technical Consultant at Whitewater Technologies Ltd., a company she started in 2000. While in school, Pamela was in a group of PhD students that piqued her interest in this field. She moved toward the Biocide of the industry, and launched Whitewater Technologies Ltd. (WWTL), offering unique technical expertise in solving microbial problems through the scientific application of a wide range of specialty biocides. In an example of a typical assignment, WWTL will identify microbiological populations using full differential analysis in a Class II microbiological laboratory. Trends of species type will be analyzed and a full biocide screen will be carried out to determine the most effective biocide to minimize microbiological contamination. Compatibility with the system and environment will also be reviewed in full to ensure full chemical compatibility prior to a site trial. This allows the client to focus on their core business, confident in the knowledge that they are benefiting from a high quality integrated microbiological service. WWTL has also provided an expert witness for a biocide and microbial influenced corrosion issues within an industrial process plant and hot and cold closed water systems in buildings and hospitals.

Pamela manages consulting directors from all different industries.  She helps people to keep control of their finances.  Her PhD was sponsored by International Paints and the compounds and techniques, which studies have now been developed into innovative products to replace environmentally harmful biocides. Pamela has developed a broad knowledge of the application of microbial control techniques in product preservation and antimicrobial surface protection, process water control, reuse and recycling, effluent minimization and cleanup. She has experience of a range of industry sectors including oil, paper, food, paint, textiles, leather, mineral extraction and processing, adhesives, coatings and water treatment. Pamela is also an approved trainer for Legionella awareness and responsible persons within the water treatment field in buildings and healthcare.

In her spare time, she enjoys walking, playing badminton and spending time with her two girls. She resides in West Midlands, United Kingdom.
