Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Robert Shipman
Robert Shipman is Managing Trustee for the Kailo Foundation, a young charity aimed at creating and delivering funds to the education of the control and prevention of infectious disease. Robert is a commercial Business Development Executive with experience in both public and private sectors driving change, increasing efficiencies, and providing a full range of support functions. Stepping into this position in 2013, Robert continues to contribute his experience and knowledge as a volunteer. In the next five years, he hopes to further establish the Kailo Foundation as an internationally recognized charity for health education.
Robert is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP), CSI of the UK, ICAP, UK Institute of Directors, Chartered Management Institute, and The British Chamber of Commerce. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Resources and Environment from Kingston University, 1994, and completed his Secondary Education degree from the University of London in 1995.
Becoming the youngest head of department in secondary education in the county of Kent, Robert spent four years in education and went onto gain considerable sales experience working in financial services recruitment. He then spent three years as head of IT education and training for North East London Health Authority within the health service. In 2004, Robert joined multinational trust corporation, Sovereign in Gibraltar, and in 2010 was promoted to Managing Director to open the Guernsey office. Robert has been published in International Financial Adviser, an online publication.
Robert resides in Fort Meyers, Florida. He enjoys traveling and skiing in his time off.
