Dr. Christine M. Weber-Hug is an independent Psychotherapist and Journalist who has been in private practice since 2000. With over a decade of experience as a professional psychotherapist, she specialized in individual talk therapy, couples therapy, parent-subsidiary therapy, as well as treating depression and psychological trauma (EMDR). Her journalism background extends over 20 years, and Dr. Weber-Hug has been published in historical Magazines and books.
She earned her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Zurich in 1970 and a degree in Psychology from the Institute of Biosynthesis in 1997. In 1989 she was a co-founder of the first Women’s Forum in Zurich. She worked as a Journalist for ‘Die Neue Zürcher Zeitung’ NZZ, where she initiated the first serial about Emancipation of women in 19./20. Cent. and was engaged in the Education field.

She then worked in body-oriented Psychotherapy (Biosynthesis), Neuro Linguistic Programming for 12 years before branching out on her own.
She is especially interested in Psychology, Neuro-Psychology, Philosophy / Spirituality, Art (Painting) and Traveling
Since long in touch with India, Dr. Weber-Hug decided 2013 to engage herself in the upcoming, necessary field of Mental Health in the Kalpas- Institution in Andhra Pradesh. Her goals include getting to know interesting people in the registry and possibly organizing a project together. Dr. Weber-Hug credits her success to always being on the next path or project towards new challenges. In the next 5 years, she aspires to travel, working e.g. as Medical Advisor or in a international Mental Health-Info-Project
She resides in Kuesnacht, Switzerland and is fluent in German, French, and English. She looks forward to meet interesting people in the Bristol registry
