Debra D. Hutchins is the FACETS™ Practice Head, Tata Consultancy Services at the FACETS™ Center of Excellence. FACETS™ is a core claims administration platform that several healthcare organizations have implemented to manage business functions and adapt to meet tomorrow’s challenges. At the FACETS™ Center of Excellence, healthcare and IT experts provide a gateway to solutions, supporting healthcare payers and meeting business initiatives. Debra’s team provides solutions and planning to healthcare and other organizations by combining a robust blending of FACETS™ experience with business strategy. The Center of Excellence experience also encompasses multiple core claim administration platforms and systems.
After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from the American InterContinental University, Debra went on to complete an MBA in Healthcare Management and Business from Richmond, The American International University in London. Overall, she has garnered over 30 years in the healthcare industry. She served for ten years in various roles including the Manager of Configuration and Implementation of FACETS™ for the Trizetto Group, where she was responsible for full production and customer support. Debra’s knowledge as a Senior Business Consultant not only encompasses healthcare payer specifics and FACETS™, but also Medicare , Medicaid, commercial plans, Blues plans, , and HIPAA 5010-/ICD-10. She worked as a Senior Consultant to WPMI, Priority Health, CSC Consulting, and was the Director of Business Solutions for the Amerigroup Corporation (Anthem).
Socially active, Debra is affiliated with Organizing for America and the Virginia Business and Investment Network. She has helped campaign for state and government level candidates, and is passionate about human rights and disaster/humanitarian relief. Debra lives in Virginia Beach with her husband and poodle, they also have two adult sons. The eldest is married and has provided Debra with a grandson. The youngest is in the U.S. Navy stationed in Jaoan. Debra also enjoys reading and traveling.
