Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Dr. Abdel Azim Elsiddig
Abdel Azim Elsiddig is the Founder and President of Bridges, an interfaith Islamic organization dedicated to family and community education and development. It seeks to engage with institutions, community organizations and people of different faith and cultural backgrounds to work on school based community service projects, building bridges of understanding and positive communication regionally, nationally, and internationally. The organization has successfully partnered with Trinity Christian College and the US Department of Education Faith-Based Office along with other community organizations in the Chicago area. Bridges recently completed their fourth year as partners in the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge project at George Washington University and the White House celebration of the participating college presidents and supporters.
Dr Elsiddig earned a Master’s in Law from the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD from Temple University. Dr. Elsiddig has also completed postdoctoral studies in Law, Religion, and Society from Temple University in 1996. His community-based activities also affiliate him with the US Dept of Education Family Engagement Office in Chicago and the Scream Free Institute, an organization dedicated to making positive and peaceful home environment for kids so they can grow with high self-esteem and confidence.
Dr. Elsiddig resides in Oak Forest, Illinois with his wife Hanan with her they have four grown children, Amel, Harith, Yomna and Tul. Dr Elsiddig speaks fluent English and Arabic. He also maintains a practice as a certified Life Coach, and coached soccer in his spare time.
