Dr. Frederick F. Girard is the France Medical Director at ABBVIE, where he oversees a team of 60 persons and manages Medical Strategy for ABBVIE portfolio, Medical Information, Local Clinical Studies, and Pharmacovigilance in France. With over 15 years of experience I Pharmaceuticals, Frederick is sought by his business relations and his colleagues for his unrivaled leadership skills and his expertise in various medical domains such as Cardiovascular and Cardio-Metabolic diseases including Diabetes, Thrombosis, Immune Diseases in Rheumatology Gastro-Enterology and Dermatology, Viral Hepatitis C, Neurology, Hematology and Oncology. Frederick is also experienced in External Innovation for R&D (Contracting and Alliance Management).
 
Frederick received his MD Graduate in Cardiovascular Diseases through MD Graduate Paris VII University, his Master in Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology, and his additional MD Graduate in Medical Intensive Care. In his current position, he is a member of ABBVIE Global Medical Affairs. Moving forward, Frederick may someday become a Medical Director at a global level, or in another country.
 
Frederick resides in Sceaux, France, and is fluent in English and French. When not engaged with work, he enjoys classical piano, playing golf and the American way of life.
