Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Dr. Ian Magrath

Dr. Ian Magrath currently serves as the President of the International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research, a non-profit organization with official relations to the World Health Organization that is dedicated to helping developing countries build their capacity for cancer research and treatment. With over 16 years of experience presiding over the organization, Dr. Magrath is an expert in healthcare management on an international scale, and has helped to transform the lives of thousands of potential patients and cancer researchers, alike. Since officially entering retirement in 2012, he has remained in his position as president on a pro bono basis, and has continued to champion INCTR’s cause at no cost to the organization.
 
Passionate about reaching out to help children across the world, Dr. Magrath has also helped to institute long-term collaborative projects to build training and educational programs. With a background in government administration as well as medicine, he is uniquely poised in his perspective and expertise to help found lasting change in the networks and establishment of cancer control and eradication on a global level. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of London, and received his Doctor of Science (Med.) in Medicine and Oncology from the Imperial College of London.
 
Today, Dr. Magrath resides in Brussels. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Associação para Crianças e Adolescentes com Cãncer (TUCCA), and Global Health Dynamics. A seasoned educator, he also served as an Adjunct Professor for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He has been the honored recipient of the Governor’s Clinical Gold Medal, the Spirit of Life Foundation Award, and the Cairo University Shield.
