Dr. Mary Dianne McCarthy, a physician specializing in Internal Medicine, is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.  An American-trained doctor for adults and a native English speaker, Dr. McCarthy has over 20 years of experience in professional, private healthcare in Barcelona.
 
Dr. McCarthy is a member of the American College of Physicians and is certified as a specialist by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the International Association for Medical Assistance to Travelers (IAMAT), Catalan Association of Internal Medicine, Catalan Society of Infectious Disease and Microbiology, as well as the American College of Emergency Medicine.
 
After receiving her MD at the Western Reserve University (now Case Western Reserve), she spent several months in Nigeria greatly contributing to her knowledge of tropical medicine. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. McCarthy is one of three American doctors practicing in Spain.  She has joined the Who’s Who to connect with other medical pioneers and build upon her already solid network.
 
Aside from helping her patients and staying abreast of current research in medicine, Dr. McCarthy enjoys reading for pleasure. She lives and practices in Barcelona, Spain.
