As a senior executive and health insurance, healthcare management and health financing consultant, Dr. Miroslaw Manicki has had the rare opportunity to contribute to changing the health and health insurance systems. Currently, in conjunction with his international consulting work Dr. Miroslaw is a Member of the panel of Experts of the European Commission Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy to assist the Directorate-General in the appraisal, implementation and monitoring of Cohesion policy intervention. Dr. Manicki is a Principal with CIMH Global, and Senior International Partner at the Indonesian Social Security Consulting Firm (Prima Konsultindo) P.T.MARTABAT. CIMH Global is a data processing and evaluation service whose activities are principally directed at the needs of the health ministries of various countries. The objective of the firm is to provide a high quality flow of data and evaluation in support of Optimum Performance Living. CIMH is the operating arm of the 2020 Program for Global Health. The 2020 Program for Global Health is an initiative that brings several kinds of innovations together, making use of a novel, but proven information processing technology. The Indonesian Social Security Consulting Firm is a state program that aims to provide the certainty and protection of social welfare for all the people of Indonesia. From January 2015 he will have served a consortium of: Oxford Policy Management, Management4health GmbH; Institute of Health Economics and AOK Consult. He implemented a KfW Development Bank project (Consulting Services for Project Implementation of the SSK Social Health Protection Scheme, Bangladesh) as a Team Leader.
Trained as a physician and healthcare executive, Dr. Manicki is an expert in managing large healthcare organizations and driving revolutionary healthcare/health insurance reforms at the highest operational and political levels while delivering consensus from influential stakeholders with diverse agendas. He is well recognized for his comprehensive knowledge of health systems throughout Europe and Asia; his vast centre of influential contacts; operational leadership; change management and financial management. Experienced in achieving permanent cooperation with international partners, he identifies reform needs, and formulates long-term visionary solutions.
With a Post graduate Medical Specialization in Public Health and a Postgraduate Specialization in Internal Disease from the Medical Centre for Postgraduate Education, a diploma in Health Care Management from Hogeschool van Amsterdam and a Medical degree from the Uniwersytet Medyczny w Łodzi, Dr. Manicki combines academic knowledge with over 35 years’ experience making him a formidable industry heavyweight. He has held many top level executive positions with world renowned organizations including but not limited to: Medical Director of the Regional Health Insurance Authority; Director of the Department of European Integration and International Relations for the Ministry of Health, Poland; Vice President Director and Acting President of the National Health Insurance Fund and Team Leader of the Social Health Insurance Project through GVC Consulting for a German Development Cooperation Agency. He has authored many chapters and papers, the most recent including: “Optimum Performance Living” (2014); Dual Control or Certain Derailment” (2014); “The Full Enjoyment Economy: Mastering Growth, Maturity and Decline” (2014);“2020 Program for Global Health” (2013);”Context in Science” (2014);” Integration, Legitimacy and the Law” and “Prospering in an OPL Environment.”
When Dr. Manicki isn’t making radical changes in the world’s health care system he can be found diving or enjoying photography where he lives in Piotrkow Trybunalski, Poland.
