Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Jorge A. Marroquín Rivera
A driven and effective business executive and leader, Jorge Marroquín Rivera is currently performing in several roles. He is the Central American Commercial Director of Cemix. He serves as Board Director of FIACG and for Vida Contemporánea. He also serves in the committee of Asociación Cultural Julio Verne.
CEMIX, founded in 1978, is a Mexican company whose mission is to lower construction costs by offering innovative products that simplify traditional systems and improve the quality of the construction jobs. The company operates in 6 countries by means of 20 productive plants and 23 distribution centers, which offer the following product lines. As the Director of Business at Cemix, Jorge focuses on marketing and sales and new product and application systems projects.
Jorge works in the Central American Region. At Vida Contemporánea Jorge directs the development of solutions and technologies geared toward contemporary urban life. Recently he completed the Camilla Townhouse Project Z15, a contemporary architecture project. FIACG is an organization which provides many forms of support for women entrepreneurs located in rural areas of Guatemala. As Board Director Jorge supports the long term strategic and operational plans.
With an education that provides a perfect platform for his career, Jorge has an MBA from ESEADE, Universidad Francisco Marroquín and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala. He has held a multitude of positions over the course of her career including but not limited to: Regional Unit Manager – Premixed and Ready Mixed Products for Grupo Progreso; Unit Manager Manufacturers and Housing for Cementos Progreso, S.A , Sub Director of Marketing for Telefónica Móviles and Consumer Division Manager for Australia Dairy Goods.. He has expansive experience in new products and new business promotions and is known for his ability to clearly analyze statistics or projects and see the opportunity for change or improvement. In the near future, Jorge is looking to continue to grow and expand the Cemix through his role as Commercial Director.
Jorge is very involved in the community and is passionate about developing, changing and raising the cultural lifestyles of others in the community. He attributes his success to being able to foresee opportunities where others do not. Currently residing in Guatemala City, Jorge is fluent in Spanish, English, and French.
