Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Maria Simmons

 
Maria Simmons is a Technical Support Officer at QBE Insurance (Aust) Ltd. With over 16 years of experience in the Computing Industry, she has been with QBE for the past 40 years, attributing her success to her love for computing as well as the desire to help others find a solution to their issues. Maria developed a contacts database for business relationship managers to use to provide them with personalized details of underwriters servicing their business.  She provides mainframe reporting for Victoria and Tasmania, transforming reports into Excel and running macros to format them as needed.  She also teaches Excel to staff.  Maria develops new reports as needed and also provides Access Database and Excel solutions for the business.  She is a Microsoft Office Specialist in both Access and Excel 2003.
 
Maria attended Victoria University from 1991 to 1996, where she studied ADipAppSci Computing. She is Certified in Business Studies Accounting from TAFE, 1985. Maria is a Member of the Australian Computer Society – Certified Technologist, as well as a Fellow of The Institute of Public Accountants.
 
Maria enjoys computer programming and fishing near her home in Kings Park, VIC, Australia.
