Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Nigel Paterson

Nigel Paterson is the General Counsel, BT Consumer at BT Group PLC, a British multinational telecommunications services company with head offices in London, England, United Kingdom.

Nigel advises the senior leadership of BT Consumer on legal and regulatory matters. He specializes in consumer and business contracts, governance and risk management, data protection, and competition and regulatory law, supported by a team of over 55 lawyers and regulatory specialists.

Before joining BT, Nigel was a Legal Counsel at ExxonMobil International Limited and a solicitor in the corporate department at the international law firm, Linklaters.

In 2003, Nigel earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Open University Business School and a Master of Arts degree from Trinity College, Oxford University in 1990.

An expert in his field, Nigel has been nominated by The Lawyer magazine’s ‘Hot 100’ lawyers of 2014. Additionally, BT Sport was named In-House Team of the Year 2014 at the British Legal Awards.
