Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Paul Gagnon
Paul Gagnon is the founding Managing Partner at Fimastra, an independent consulting boutique providing advice to the leadership teams of small- and medium-sized companies facing strategic performance or development issues. Fimastra provides assistance in two specific ways:
- By performing strategic performance audits to identify performance enhancing paths; and
- By designing strategies for international development involving France or Canada.
He also teaches Strategy to students in the Financial Engineering Master Program at one of France’s top business schools, EM Lyon Business School. .
A Chartered Professional Accountant (Canada) with an MBA degree from the renowned International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland and Master of International Management from HEC Montréal, Paul combines academic knowledge with a compendium of hands on experience.
Before Fimastra, he worked with Bombardier leading key initiatives within the strategic planning and corporate development departments. Prior to that he was a member of the international fund of funds investing team with the Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec and assistant to the CEO of a large Canadian financial group. He started his career with Deloitte as a Financial Advisor. His future goal is to set up an investment vehicle with an innovative approach that will better align the interests of the investors, the fund and the investees. Paul occasionally publishes some of his blog posts in the relevant section of “Les Echos”, France’s leading business newspaper.
Paul Gagnon is Canadian-born and also a French citizen, living in Lyon for 7 years now. He is fluent in English and French. He enjoys baseball in his spare time and is a member of the board of the Meyzieu Softball & Baseball Club.
