Paulo Roberto De Bortoli has over 20 years of knowledge and experience in the Supply Chain Management industry. Paulo’s vast background in high competitive environments in worldwide corporations is largely based on all areas of the Supply Chain, like Suppliers Sourcing, Contract Negotiations, Suppliers Performance Management, Planning and Purchasing, and Logistics and Warehouse.

Part of what makes Paulo an expert in the field is his vast education. Holding a degree in Mechanical Engineering, earned in 1985, from Universidade Federal de Itajubá, Postgraduate in Production Administration at INPG – Instituto Nacional de Pós Graduação, in 1993, a Master of Business Administration degree in Administration for the Aerospace Industry, 2002, and another in International Executive Business Management, 2011, both from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. Paulo is also fluent in English and Spanish.

Paulo’s professional specializations include implementation and structure of the Supply Chain organization, opening and managing a Supply Chain Office in Wichita, KS, and developing the suppliers’ base in Mexico and other countries. He carried out initiatives aiming at optimization and cost reductions in logistics and purchasing, the reduction of suppliers’ base and lead time, inventory reduction, and applying the concepts of Lean Philosophy in the Supply Chain department.

Spearheading all negotiation and management of international contracts of supplying, including development and purchasing of products, with total amounts higher than $500 million dollars a year, Paulo was the overall leader for the suppliers’ performance management process, driving suppliers to meet or exceed committed performance levels. He introduced, planned, and executed projects related to the Supply Chain Risk and Opportunity Management Process to avoid business performance impact or any rupture on the production line.

Paulo attributes his success to his passion for knowledge and working with a superior team who have been able to excel in solidarity. Currently entering a different chapter in his life, Paulo is focusing on furthering his successes in any industry where he can administer his expertise.
