Piotr Wila is the Managing Director, Head of Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Global Banking and Markets at BZ WBK Bank, the Polish arm of Santander Group. Here he manages the corporate finance franchise of the investment banking arm within Global Banking and Markets of BZ WBK, Santander Group. He specializes in IPOs, M&A, LBOs, Pre-IPO investments, private placements, funding strategies and valuations.

After earning a master’s degree in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics, Piotr joined KPMG as Manager of Corporate Finance. After this he spent 12 years with HSBC Investment Services (Poland) in the role of Director and board member. He has extensive experience in IPO, SPO, M&A, Private Placements, Privatizations, Financial Analysis, Financial Strategy, Valuations, LBO and Equity Derivatives. Since the early 1990s he has participated in major transactions in Poland including vast privatizations after the fall of communism. He has been awarded for his achievements receiving honors for best investment banking performances in categories such as Best IPO House, Privatization and Transaction of the Year. He speaks Polish, Russian and English fluently.
