Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Rainier Wong

 
Rainier Wong is the sole proprietor and principal artist of Funiworks Pty. Ltd., a Melbourne-based content portal that features digital drawings and photographic manipulations by the artist. The site is also a hub for music, classifieds, eBooks, ringtones, digital art, and online gaming.  In addition to its artistic and design emphasis, Funiworks’ latest offering is Search Engine Optimization and online marketing, with Mr. Wong expecting to grow his business worldwide.
 
His artwork incorporates elements of animation technology, such as Flash. He keeps up to date on the latest database technologies, like PHP and MySQL for web-based applications and takes inspiration from the latest Apple products.
 
Rainier’s experience with Information technology began when he was hired to create a computer-based cataloguing system for the Language and Work Centre in Richmond, Victoria, Australia.   Information Technology became Rainier’s focus area when he started at Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad. He developed user interfaces, wrote shell scripts and served as the company’s media librarian.  He next worked for Com2 Communications in its sales department and Excel data entry before founding his first business, Nicepods, a website development firm.
 
As a graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale, he was in the Gamma Beta Phi Honors Society, Rainier earned a Bachelor of Science in Management.  After graduation he went back to Australia for TAFE studies in IT before earning a Graduate Diploma in Internet and Web Computing from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
