Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Shresti Bijou

 
Shresti Bijou is the Group Head of Operational Risk Management for FirstRand Limited, one of the largest financial institutions in South Africa. A seasoned operational, legal and regulatory risk specialist, Shresti has had the good fortune to work with several major financial institutions across international markets. Proactive stakeholder management across diverse groups, including Group Executive Management, has been the key to her successful implementation of risk management frameworks.
 
Continuing her self-improvement after joining the workforce, Shresti attended Wits Business School’s BankSeta – International Executive Development Programme for Leadership in Banking in 2013. She received her Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Before joining FirstRand, Shresti worked in Dubai for Barclays (then the Emerging Markets region) as Regulatory Affairs Manager. She has also worked for FNB South Africa, Investec Asset Management, Nedbank and Deloitte.
 
Shresti thrives in evolving business environments and has been instrumental in carving out innovative tools to support business decisions within organizational risk appetite. Core to her values are discipline and organization, which have enabled her to achieve a work/life balance as she seeks to continually meet increasing professional and personal demands.
 
She lives in the Johannesburg area, South Africa, and speaks fluent English as well as having a working proficiency of Afrikaans.
