As Executive VP of Global Human Resources, CHRO at DJO Global, Thomas Capizzi brings a compendium of career achievements to the role. Headquartered in San Diego, CA (Vista), DJO Incorporated is a leading global provider of high-quality, orthopedic devices, with a broad range of products used for rehabilitation, regeneration, pain management and physical therapy sold through our DonJoy, Empi, CMF, Aircast / Procare, and Chattanooga Group business units. Tom was appointed Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources of DJO Global, Inc. and its public reporting subsidiary, DJO Finance LLC, at the time of the DJO merger in 2007. Prior to the DJO merger, Tom served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources of DJO Opco since July 2007.

From 2001 to July 2007, he served as Vice President, Worldwide Human Resources & Administration for Magellan GPS, a consumer electronics company. Previously, from 1999 to 2001, he was Vice President, HR, Chief Administrative Officer for PCTEL, a publicly held telecommunications and modem technology company. From 1997 to 1999 he served as Corporate Vice President, Human Resources for McKesson, a medical distribution and pharmaceutical solution company. Tom has held various other human resources management positions in companies such as Charles Schwab, Genentech, PepsiCo and The Hertz Corporation. He brings well over 30 years of human resources experience. Tom received his undergraduate degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Cathedral College/St. John’s University and his post-graduate work in Organizational Development from the New School.

Crediting his success to knowing his business and possessing a genuine passion for helping people, Thomas remains well rounded by dividing his time between his professional life and spoiling his grandson. He lives in Laguna Niguel, California, USA.
