Tony Williams is the Founder and General Manger of TWC Pharma Consulting GmbH, based in Basel Switzerland. An experienced Pharma/Biotech business executive in biosimilar strategic commercialization, Tony acts as the Biosimilar Business Executive and Strategic Marketing and Commercial Operations Consultant to the Pharma, Biotech and Life-Science Global industries. He has been with TWC since 2009 and the Pharma/Biotechnology industries since 1990.

Tony is a life-science entrepreneur with an entrepreneurial approach to building businesses through science.

Tony’s specialties include Pharmaceutical Commercialization, Business and Product Development, Commercial Analysis, Strategic Marketing, Medical-Marketing Synergy, and Business Operations (Local, Regional, & Global Markets). Additional areas of expertise include Injection Device Design and Development, incorporating in particular, Human Function and Usability Development studies to meet FDA requirements, in-depth knowledge of the drug development life-cycle, from R & D through to full commercialization, and life-cycle management and long-term defense strategies.

Tony attended the University of Technology, Sydney, and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biomedical Science and a Master of Science in Mycology (Fungus). Prior to joining the Pharma/Biotech industry in 1990, Tony was a Registered Intensive Care Nurse at a major teaching hospital in Sydney. Tony also taught Physics and Chemistry at a local College for Medical Education in Sydney. Using his vast knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biotech fields as well as his intense industry experience and academic qualifications, Tony has been a co-author of currently 10 medical publications in journals, such as The American Journal of Dermatology, The British Medical Journal, and The Lancet.

Tony is interested in volunteering at a local hospital in Switzerland but needs to firstly become fluent in the local language- Swiss German. Tony’s mother tongue is English, and he is fluent in German and basic French. In his spare time when he is not looking after his four children, Tony enjoys painting, hiking, and Asian cooking.
