Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Ueli Sandmeier

Ueli Sandmeier is the President and CEO of AWK Group Inc., a consulting firm which offers engineering and senior project management for IT and telecommunications infrastructure in the United States. AWK Group Inc. is an affiliate of AWK Group AG in Switzerland, one of the coutry’s leading independent consulting firms. Ueli has been in his current role with the company for 2 years, and has been responsible for spearheading the growth and establishment of AWK’s U.S. business. The company currently projects a strong presence in the Mid-Atlantic region and Texas.

Upon completing his Electrical Engineering studies at the Federal Technical Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ), Ueli graduated in March 1996 and began his consultancy at Accenture, a world leader in offering strategy and digital technology solutions. After 5 years of honing his instincts and proving himself a leader, Ueli became the Manager of Data Management at Deltavista AG (now CRIF), where he served as one of the top Data Managers in Switzerland. Ueli’s upward trajectory continued, leading him to Cablecom (now UPC cablecom), where he thrived as a Data Architect, and later went on to become IT Architect and Program Manager for the integration of cablecom into UPC. This path led him to ultimately join AWK Group in Switzerland as Senior Consultant, soon being promoted to Head Business Unit. In this role, Ueli’s virtuosity at both project and program management shone, as he was able to integrate his background in data management and business analysis into a strong leadership package.

Ueli’s goals for the future include continuing to grow AWK’s business, and to maintain the highest level of quality and outside-the-box business strategy. He hopes to connect with like-minded professionals to share experiences and build a marketplace. He bases his outstanding achievements thus far on his continued good humor and witty personality.

When he isn’t working, Ueli enjoys running and other endurance sports – all in preparation for further participations in Marathon and IronMan competitions.
