OzBiz Automation is the brainchild of Ulrich Magura. As founder and Director of OzBiz Automation (located in Queensland Australia)Ulrich brings 20 years of electrical and automation engineering expertise. In this role he consults on safety systems for metal manufacture, provides control system engineering for hospital electrical power load shedding and restoration systems as well as project engineering services for the water industry. Ulrich’s significant experience in commissioning plants allows him to advise on how to avert project delays and penalties. Ulrich specializes in managing outdated electrical control systems which were previously not considered a risk. He is able to identify and manage businesses that fall into this dangerous category ensuring upgade and/or replacement strategies positively impact all aspects of their business capabilities. Specifically, he juggles all aspects of each project; from designing, coding and expenditure fore casting to troubleshooting, working with vendors and conducting quality assurance and project management.
Ulrich has earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors), from the University of Queensland and a Higher National Diploma – T4, Electrical Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology / Cape Technikon. Specializing in operations improvement, he has worked on projects for Rio Tinto (energy management), P&O Ports (container crane automation), OneSteel (steel mill automation/electrical) and Aurecon (Stacker-reclaimer automation) to mention a few. In the capacity of lead electrical engineer, he was responsible for the detailed design and execution of each project creating massive change and producing immediate results. He is affiliated with Engineers Australia and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Ulrich lives with his wife in Queensland, Australia . He is fluent in German and English.
