Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Yelena Rodríguez De Fortún

 
Yelena Rodríguez De Fortún is the Executive Director of Colegio de Contadores Públicos Autorizados de Panamá (CCPAP), an ONG member of IFAC. CCPAP is an ONG member of the IFAC, the global organization for the accountancy profession. Dedicated to serving the public interest, IFAC seeks to strengthen the profession and contribute to the development of strong international economies. With over 28 years of experience in accounting management and administration, Yelena brings her expertise in auditing, budgets, strategy and project management to her role. As Executive Director, she is responsible for the oversight and management of several groups of accountants across the breadth of CCPAP. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the Technical Committee of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Panama.
 
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting from the Universidad Interamericana De Panamá in 2002, Yelena went on to complete a diploma in internal auditing and receive a master’s degree in Strategic Management. She is a member and Executive Director of the largest Association of Certified Public Accountants of Panama, and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors – Panama Chapter. Additionally, Yelena is a member of the Inter-American Accounting Association and crucial liason to the International Federation of Accountants Association. Known throughout the industry as a key player in Panamanian finance and accounting, Yelena was awarded for her role responsibility in preparing Panama for the Y2K Compliance Certification Process, awarded as a member of the T3 strategic team to implement the BellSouth New Lines of Business Project, and was awarded as part of the implementation team for the opening of BellSouth in Guatemala, and other countries in Central America.
 
A proud resident of the Republic of Panama, Yelena is a certified translator and speaks fluent Spanish and English. She loves to work with kids, and teaches Bible Studies at her local church to help prepare youth for confirmation.
