Biography :Danny earned his PhD in biology at Boston University and did his postdoctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania, first in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the UPenn School of Medicine and then in the Department of Biology.
He joined Wyeth-Ayerst Research in 1991 as a Scientific Writer and worked there for 10 years. In 2002 he joined Sanofi-Synthelabo as a Medical Writing Project Leader.
After a stint as a freelance medical writer, during which he also earned a Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2005 he joined the faculty of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. The University of the Sciences is building on a life sciences legacy that begun almost two centuries ago as the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.
Danny was appointed Associate Professor of Biomedical Writing and became a full-time online faculty member. He was promoted to Director of Biomedical Writing Programs in 2008 and remains in that position as of this writing. It should also be noted that as of this writing, the Biomedical Writing Program is the only online degree-granting biomedical writing program in the US.
Danny’s research interests include the development of online education programs, technical methodology in the documentation of clinical research results, and in the evolution of regulatory sciences in the pharmaceutical industry.
Danny is an active member at his Synagogue. He is an avid photographer and golfer. Danny credits his success to his undying Entrepreneurial spirit.
