Gerrit Van Ryssen established Cyclone Engineering Projects in 2007 and serves as Managing Director. The company is based in Krugersdorp and services all of South Africa. Gerrit is proud of building his company from the ground up—from being a one-man operation to having 500 employees and five direct reports. In the upcoming years, Gerrit will be retiring and transitioning into a consulting field on a part-time basis.

Gerrit has a BSc in Industrial Chemistry from Potchefstroom University for CHE, 1979. He speaks frequently on new developments in mining and new technologies. He believes the key to his success is his passion for the mining and metals industry and devotion to his company. He speaks Zulu and English and is eager to network. When he is not working, Gerrit enjoys camping.
