Biography :Kenneth Gibble is currently the Chairman and President of GNCB Engineers PC, an engineering firm with a primary focus on geotechnical, structural and historic preservation. It is a highly reputable engineering firm working in New England and other areas of the country.
Kenneth’s specialty is geared towards fire safety design. He recalls some highlights of his career when he had the opportunity to be an instrumental asset to two Connecticut based projects that implemented innovative designs that are now used as national and international models for safety construction. Within the company, he has been a part of the design of building of structures such as art museums, theaters, sports facilities, classrooms, offices and research laboratories.With over 45 years of structural engineering experience, Kenneth has been actively involved in professional and civic organizations throughout his career. He is a registered professional engineer in the states of Connecticut, Rhode Island and Vermont. Kenneth believes his hard won success comes from the higher education he received at Penn State University paired with hard work ethic. He holds a MA in Industrial Organizational Psychology from University of New Haven, and a BSc in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University.
Kenneth also teaches one course per year at the Yale School of Architecture, sharing his knowledge and experience with young minds. He is also certified as a mediator for construction disputes. He has authored numerous articles and served as a reviewer of books on management topics for the American Society of Civil Engineers. In 2000, the Connecticut Engineers in Private Practice honored Ken as Engineer of the Year. He is the 2002 recipient of the Benjamin Wright Award of the Connecticut Section of ASCE and the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Structural Engineers Coalition.
