Sal Calabrese has been in his industry for 15 years, he currently holds the title of SVP/CFO and COO, with a company by the name of Gentium SpA, his role as CFO is overseeing the legal and finance department, internal control, corporate tax, transfer price, US GAAP, public reporting and business relations, IT&C. As the COO his role has been to overview the manufacturing facilities, safety and environmental, heading human resources and benefit plans . Sal has a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance and Internal Control . Sal passionately works in the biotech industry, his previous role was in public Accounting with PwC. Sal is fluent in English, Spanish , and Italian. Sal also has done volunteer work as a cub scout. Sal has done extensive public speaking in many different areas, working at the University of Pavia. Currently in Sal’s career he is looking to network with like minded professionals more on an international level as well as personal brand more. Sal’s bases his success on determination and motivation, experience and hard work . Future goals consists of gaining other experiences with another company in the in the coming years, take on more challenges, raise money and move forward.
