Brigadier General Wayne M. Hall (ret.) has dedicated his career to the service of his country, intellect, and mankind. Currently, he is the President and CEO of Hall Consulting Services, Inc., a consulting firm he founded to provide both the government and private sectors with creative and lasting solutions to intelligence analysis and collection. One of the nation’s top experts on the question of “how to think” vs. “what to think”, Wayne advises firms on intelligence issues, providing red teaming and devils advocate services in addition to his direct consulting and seminar services. Wayne’s work has helped transform organizations and assisted in companies and individuals planning processes, papers and projects, and dissertations.
 
After earning a Bachelor of Science in History from the University of Nebraska, Wayne went on to complete a Master of Science from Kansas State University. He also graduated with a Master’s of Military Art and Science from the US Army Command and General Staff college, and where he also attended the School of Advanced Military Studies. In 1985, he completed an EdD from George Washington University.
 
Wayne has led a dedicated military career spanning 30 years, rising to the rank of Brigadier General. A seasoned veteran, he served as a G2 intelligence officer in the 82nd Airborne Division, becoming Commander of the 313th Military Intelligence Battalion of the 82nd Airborne Division throughout Just Cause, Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He then became Commander of the 501st Military Intelligence Brigade for the US Forces in Korea, later transferring to J2 intelligence, also in Korea.
 
His unique position as both an education, military and intelligence expert have led Wayne to author three books, to date: Stray Voltage War In The Information Age (April 2003), Intelligence Analysis How To Think In Complex Environments (December 2009), and Intelligence Collection How To Plan and Execute Collection Operations In Complex Environments (June 2012). In 2013, Wayne collaborated with other donors to create and sustain the Wayne M. Hall Scholarship for intelligence analysts and collection people to study intelligence.
 
Wayne credits his success to hard work coupled with the “realization that the minds our maker bestowed upon us are wondrous”. His career and life have brought him much joy and he has been proud to share the journey with his wife Sandy, a Retired Army Colonel. Wayne and Sandy live in beautiful Suffolk, Virginia.
