Who’s Who Recognizes Dimitrios Tsoukas

Dimitrios Tsoukas is the Founder and Director of the Minimally Invasive Orthopedic and Sports-medicine Surgery Center, the MIOSMED Center, in Athens, Greece. MIOSMED Center is is an ISAKOS (International Society for Arthroscopy Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine) Approved Teaching Center. Their website is www.tsoukas-ortho.gr Dr. Tsoukas specializes in arthroscopic surgery for all major joints, including arthroscopic knee surgery, and orthopedic sports medicine, as well as advanced biologic treatments for knee osteoarthritis like stem cells intra-articular injections, cartilage and meniscus transplantation.

Dr. Tsoukas is highly educated. He holds a Master’s degree in Medicine from the University of Athens, a Master’s degree in Health Services Management from CNAM in Paris, and finished his sub-specialization at University Clinic St. Luc in Brussels.

Dr. Tsoukas is a member of several professional organizations, including the Sports Medicine Association of Greece, the Regulatory & Industry Liaison Committee of the International Cartilage Repair Society, and the Board of European Knee Surgeons of Smith & Nethew.

Dr. Tsoukas is Doctor in Charge for the Hellenic National Volleyball and Beach Volleyball teams, and was honored by the Greek Basketball Professional League in 2011 by being named the best Greek doctor in basketball.
